More than a bill tracker

More clarity for the bills you pay — and the money you share.

Plan around your payday, see what's actually been paid, and keep track of contributions without confusing expected money with received money.

Bills, without the guesswork

Manage recurring bills, one-offs, subscriptions, due dates and payment history across separate accounts.

Payday planning that fits

Choose to spread bills across a month, aim for a consistent set-aside, or cover everything until your next payday.

Shared Contributions

Track what someone is expected to contribute, what's arrived, and which bill their money helps cover.

Payment plans

Keep fixed instalments beside regular commitments, with separate payments and progress for each instalment.

Two kinds of progress

Follow outgoing bill payments and received, assigned contributions separately — because receiving money isn't paying a bill.

Privacy and personal style

Local-first financial records, app privacy controls, and a signature Pearl look with six more themes planned.

Shared Contributions

Sharing the bills? Know what's promised, received and still outstanding.

Whether a partner or housemate helps with the household bills, JanJar can track an expected contribution separately from the actual transfer. Assign received amounts to particular bills, including partial receipts, without marking those bills paid automatically.

Review what's still expected for each bill date, and keep your payment history distinct from contribution history.

Shared Contributions can be enabled or hidden; recorded arrangements and receipts are preserved.

Your payday, your plan

Three ways to plan what to set aside.

Weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly payday schedules can be planned using the method that makes the most sense for you.

Spread across the month

Share the selected month's outstanding bills between its scheduled paydays.

Keep it consistent

Plan an approximate set-aside using bills across a rolling 12-month outlook.

Between paydays

Focus on what's due from a selected payday until the next one.

Optional income can be entered for each actual payday. Estimated leftover excludes other spending and bank balances; expected contributions are forecasts, not confirmed receipts.

Thoughtful reminders

A heads-up on your schedule.

Want to know about tomorrow's bill in the evening, but prefer a reminder on the due date over breakfast? JanJar's bill and renewal reminders include configurable timing.

Choose useful reminder timings, while device notification permissions and privacy settings remain in control.

Example times are illustrative; exact setting scope will be checked against the final app before publication. No payday reminders are promised.

Discover Bills

Spot potential recurring commitments in the statements you choose.

Review candidate bills and subscriptions from locally processed statement files, inspect the supporting transactions, and decide whether to Add, Edit or Ignore. JanJar does not silently add suggestions as bills.

You're in charge

Review evidence and confirm before saving a bill.

Check the details

Look into unclear dates, amounts, frequencies and possible duplicates.

Keep your history clear

Historical bank activity is evidence for planning future bills — not invented payment records.

Bank-specific CSV compatibility is still under validation. PDF and photo recognition are experimental; verify original documents and every included row.

Payments, plans and renewals

Real progress, not just another tick box.

Record full or partial bill payments, tell confirmed payments from optional assumed-paid tracking, and follow instalment plans one payment at a time.

Record separate renewal review dates and plan future recurring-bill changes while retaining earlier history.

Future-effective bill changes and other financial integrity workflows remain subject to final acceptance testing.

Understand your progress

Payment progress: what has been recorded as paid.

Contribution progress: money actually received and assigned to the bill.

Two distinct records. A contribution never automatically settles the outgoing bill.

Make it your own

One app. Seven styles.

Pearl is JanJar's signature look: luminous blue, lilac and pink. Six additional themes are planned for launch, whether you prefer calm, bright or understated.
